Maayong Pasko!!!

The Tribulation At Hand

The tribulation that the world is suffering today is very real, and will likely to escalate towards the description in Matt.24:21: “For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning the of the world, no, nor ever shall be.”
This is incomparable! The Bible did not even compare it to Noah’s Flood. It would be unique from any famine, pestilence, wars, or any catastrophe that happened in the past.

In the Bible history, there occurred a Seven years of famine in the world during the time of Joseph, and only Egypt was able to prepare (Gen. 41:30);

During the time of Ahab, king of Israel, there was three years of drought and famine, as a sanction emposed to the people of Israel who turned away from God, and served the heathen gods instead, as pronounced by Prophet Elijah. (1 Kings 17:1, 18:1)

And there were prophecies about famine, pestilence and wars foretold by prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Amos, and Jesus Himself to take place in the last days, and that day is fulfilling on our days, today.

The tribulation may have two possible causes:
* Man-made calamities, like wars, that would possibly unleash nuclear weapons, chemical weapons and biological weapons.

* Natural calamities, like earthquake, typhoon, hurricane, tornado, El Niño, (drought) La Niña (flash floods), Tsunami, hailstorm, and pandemic.
However, all these things are  associated with irresponsible living of the human race, by defiance of the laws of nature. And our present world is now on the process of receiving all those consequences.

The initial famine the world is facing right now is the shortage of oil energy. And because of this shortage, it will imminently results to a massive domino-effect damage in all countries in the world in its economy, that will trigger into global multiple crisis.

To mention a few:
* Food crisis – food shortage, that would initiate global panic buying, or nothing to buy at all; and
* A possible Total Blackout in some countries, (if not globally) will likely to happen, that means, no electricity, no internet; and no transportation.

How do various studies describe this event?
* The Bible describe this event as: The great tribulation; Jacob’s trouble; perilous times; battle of Armageddon.
* Ellen G. While in her books, describes this as: The Great Controversy; Impending Conflict of the ages; The Last Day Events
* Ecologist, Scientific forecasts  describe this as: Global Warming, Global Holocausts; World War 3.
* The Hollywood movies portrayed it as: The day after tomorrow; World War Z; Independence Day; Zombieland; The Rapture; and etc.

What is the bottom-line of this Conflict?

The reality about this conflict is, it’s is the continues battle between Christ and Satan that started from heaven, which was and is the battle between good and evil, that is determined to end on this earth, in our time.

Now, what shall we do, in order to survive?

There is no substitute to preparation. The preparation must be both material and spiritual aspects.
Like Joseph in Egypt, when God sends the advance information through Pharaoh’s dream that there would be seven years of abundance, and after that, a seven years of famine will follow, Pharaoh appointed Joseph to do the task of the preparation for the incoming events: to take time of the seven years of abundance in gatherings, in order to be able to survive the next seven years of famine. (Gen 41:29-54)

It’s not enough to have known and believe in God who will save you in times of trouble. That kind of faith could be superficial, when you do not take your part to prepare to face the more severe crisis ahead.
God gave us knowledge of the events to come; the clue, that the tribulation is now on the onset, so that we can apply into wisdom to perceive the possiblity of the things to happen before hand, in order to make thorough preparation and avoid or lessen the possible sufferings that may incur thereon.

Well, it may appear for us to be fortunate of being living witnesses of this spectacular event, however, we could also be the most unfortunate beings to become victims and suffer the worst of the tribulations in the history, since the creation of the earth.

However, it could also be the most blessed and glorious moment in life for those who have done the necessary preparations that heaven has prescribed. It’s an opportunity to experience intimate bonding moment with God; spending sweet honeymoon with our beloved Husband, the Lamb, and experience the actual companionship with God. Whether you live or die in that event, the most important is that, you are in right relationship with Him till the end.

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love them.” (James 1:12)

“But He knows the way that I take: when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”
(Job 23:10)

May this article sheds light to everyone, that we be smarter enough to perceive God’s leadings and guidance, as we face life at present, and the days beyond.

Godspeed!

Both of them come from the twelve tribes of Israel.
One comes from the tribe of Benjamin, while the other comes from the tribe of Judah.

They were Distinct in stature: one was tall and goodly looking, as in handsome person (1 Sam. 9:2)
While the other was short, shabby and rugged shepherd, that carry always a staff on his hand and a sling on his shoulder that makes him awkward-looking person.

Both of them were called to be king.

One, in Easy Way;
While the other, in a Hard Way.

At the unrelenting war between Israelites and the sorrounding nations, they envied their enemies of having kings that went with them and led their soldiers to the battlefield.
So, they cried to Samuel (who was the reigning Judge of Israel) and asked for a king. But the thing displeased Samuel, because it was an act of rejecting the God of Israel, who rules them as One true King. Yet God understands them and granted their request.

The young man Saul, the son of Kish from the tribe of Benjamin, while seeking his father’s lost asses, he went to Prophet Samuel and asked for help.

While Saul was on his way towards him, God commanded Samuel to pour on the horn of oil over his head as the Anointed King of Israel.

So easy as that, on Saul’s way to the throne.

While David, before he was chosen to be king among the eight sons of Jesse from the tribe of Judah, he had passed many qualifying trials and hardships even at his early teen age life:
He became a shepherd boy of a big flock of his father’s house, in stead of his seven older brothers, because he was the youngest.
As a herdman, he was responsible for the lives of every sheep in the fold, to feed, make them well should there be sick, and protect the sheep from harms and dangers at the risk of his life.

David, as a young shepherd, he has learned the heavenly wisdom of tending the flock, having realized that the faith and the trust of every sheep was in his hands. That’s why, he has no other way, but to trust in God as well, in undertaking his responsibility as the Lord of the sheeps.

David became prayerful and totally dependent to One Supreme and Good Shepherd whom he trusted fully his way for guidance and his life for protection, that was evidently recorded in Psalms 23, which he personally wrote:

Psalms 23, verses 1 to 6 –

1. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing.
2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
3. He restored my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
5. You prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies: You Anointed my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

As a shepherd, he fought against a lion and a bear and killed them both;

He has to kill the giant, Goliath, when nobody among the soldiers of Israel, under king Saul dared to respond the challenge;

Before he was finally installed to the throne, he became a fugitive in his own country, when King Saul realized that God was with David and became a threat to his kingship.

Was it not truly a hard way, that of David’s way to the throne?

Both of them were engaged in battle, and both of them were Mighty Valors in the battlefield

One comes home in victory, having killed his thousands;

While the other, comes home in victory, having killed his Ten thousands.

They Were Distinct In Some Ways:

In spite of their many  similarities, they were different between each other in several traits and character –

One was a drowsier, that sleeps all night until the morning rise.

While the other one, wakes up early at dawn to pray and worship God; to commit his ways; asked for strength and power to carry the tasks of the day.

One was impatient, when Samuel tarried a day to offer sacrifice before going to battle, he couldn’t wait longer, and committed sin before the eyes of the Lord for making the sacrifice himself, in Samuel’s stead.

The other was patient in character, that always consult God through prayers; wait patiently to Him;
In every decision-making he does, he consulted God always for approval and guidance.
He was a man after God’s heart.

One was some kind of disobedient.
When Saul was commanded by God to execute judgment to the Amalekites; to utterly destroy all of them and all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass; (Sam.15:3)
However, Saul disobeyed by sparing the life of Agag, king of Amalekites, and spared the best of the sheep and oxen and brought with them.

While the other was undefiled in his ways, who walk in the law of the LORD; keeps His testimonies and seek Him with his whole heart. (Ps.119:1,2)

Both Of Them Have Consultant
One, The Wizard Of Endor
(1 Sam. 28:7-9)
Because of disobedience he was rejected as King of Israel.
When Samuel was dead, Saul inquired of him through a familiar spirit medium in order to talk to him.

While the other, The LORD, Jehovah God.
(1 Sam. 23:2)
He always enquire God in every plan and decision-making he makes.

Both Of Them Met The End Of Their Lives.

One died in a horrible death in the battlefield, and was killed in the battle of pride; who pleaded to his Armor-bearer to kill him instead of being killed by the enemy. (1Sam. 31: 4-6)

While the other died in peace and honorable death at old age, at peace with God, and was burried in the City of David (1 King 2:1-10)

Both of their bodies were offered to Gods.
King Saul’s body was offered to the idol Ashtaroth, the god of Philistines. (1Sam. 31:10)

While King David’s body was dedicated to the house of JEHOVAH God of Israel.

The story of the lives of King Saul and King David teaches a very important lesson for us, as we go along in our lives.

All of us are called to be servants:
To serve our Real Parents who gave birth to us;
To serve our brethren and live  with them happily;
To serve, the whole mankind, and the whole Universe, as our eternal responsibility.

Some of us may be called to be leaders to lead a flock of believers; and others may be called to be king to rule a nation under the new empire of the Great Emperor,  Jehovah God, The Son Of Man.

The life of David the Shepherd boy, reminds us of the ideal type of leadership, a Shepherd Leadership, which is a Servant Leadership in dealing with our subjects.
and
The Valiant King David
Whose life was the type of the Antitype, which is the Final King David,
Who is The Great, Reigning KING MICHAEL !

Glory, Praise and Adoration be unto the
KING Of KINGS and
LORD Of LORDS!

Hallelujah!

1. Lucifer committed sin against the first commandment by making himself god, instead of worshiping his creator God.

2. He further transgressed the second commandment by exalting himself above the Most High God and commanded the angelic hosts to bow and serve him, instead of God the Father. (Isa. 14:13,14)

3. He defied the Honorable name of God by accusing Him of unjust and rude God, wanting only worship by all of the universal hosts. He further blasphemed the name of God by using the name of God for himself and making the name of God very ordinary. That is why the world today uses the name of God as common expression. Thus, the name GOD and JESUS becomes The Most Abused Words in the world today.

4. He trampled down the Sabbath and defied God’s authority. Because the Sabbath is the seal of God’s authority, jurisdiction of power and eternal sign between God and His children, (Exo. 31:13-17) Lucifer, Satan the terrible Beast, attempted to cut it off, the “Time and Law” and changed it into the venerable day of the sun, from Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, thus, making it the Mark of his ecclesiastical power and authority. (Daniel 7:25) That’s why the major world religions today acknowledged Satan’s Authority by hallowing the First Day, Sunday which is the Seal of Satan’s Authority and Power, (The Mark of the Beast) instead of the Seventh Day Sabbath which is the eternal mark of God’s jurisdiction of Authority and power, which is the Seal of God’s People, inculcated in their forehead (mind).

5. He dishonored his Parent/ Creator making himself a rebellious, unruly and uncouth son, turning away from the Father which is the source of life. Because of this reason, he is in state of dying and in self-destruction process and will eventually die in consequence of his sins, even though nobody touch to actually kill him.

6. He murdered his parent God with all false accusations; murdered the Son Jesus, crucified Him like a heinous shameful criminal; murdered the angels by insinuating them to rebel and sin with him; and murdered the whole earthly children by making us into sinful beings, thus, inflicting the human race with various diseases and let die as consequence. (Rom. 6:23) making this earth a vast cemetery. Lucifer is indeed the “Universal Murderer.”

7. He was and is a “Universal Prostitute” by tempting and manipulating the angels to believe his lies, also tempting and deceiving Eve to believe him instead, and insinuated Eve to distrust and betray her husband Adam and their Creator God the Father. That was how human (Adam and Eve) committed fornication with the devil Satan, and almost all the people in the world from time immemorial till the present – the political, the economic sectors and religious institutions are embracing his lies and fornicated with him. (Rev. 17:2-4)

8. Lucifer Satan robbed God of His throne, robbed the universal and angelic hosts of their loyalty and love of their Father, and took their sympathy to ally with him. He also robbed mankind the “Eden Paradise” and continued to rob humanity by using the selfish, greedy and corrupt political leaders at rule to victimize their country and people, thus, inflecting sufferings to the lowly subjects of the society, making only themselves richer and richer, while letting the masses become poorer and poorer to suffer hunger and eventually to death.

9. He was and is the Father of lies. He accused God of being unjust, spreading gossips and false accusation against God to the angels, the universal hosts and to humanity. That is why human’s perception towards God now a days is so distorted – having in mind that God is like a cruel monarch, demanding worship, kills and must be feared, when in reality, God is the humblest and most lowly being in the universe like dirt and like water, serving all His universal children instead of being served; He cries in agony because of the sufferings of humanity inflicted by the results of sinning, that is why God’s throne is a “Throne of Tears”; accused of being murderer, when it was he, Lucifer/ Satan the murderer who deceived them so that they may sin and die. ( Rom.6:23) He is indeed the Father of Lies.

10. He coveted the position of the “Most High God” and established his own government, and self-proclaimed himself the new God above the Most High God. (Isa.14:13,14) He also coveted the possession of Adam being the king of this earth ordained by God after the creation. (Gen. 1:28) When one soul makes a right relationship with God and becomes His bride again, he is going to attempt to covet them over again – that universal covetous being, Lucifer Satan.

This article is in pursuant to the previous entry, The Ark-God, with the emphasis on the significance of God’s presence.

Well, tracing back the history of the powerful, ancient Egypt over a thousand years B.C., when Jacob’s most beloved son, Joseph was jealously sold by his brothers to the caravan of Ishmaelite, then was sold to ‘Potiphar’, an officer of Pharaoh’s guard in Egypt. (Gen. 37:36)

Potiphar’s house was abundantly blessed, due to the skill, talent and wisdom of Joseph, but above all, God was with Joseph, because of his faithfulness, and being prayerful, remembering always the teaching of his father, Jacob. That was the reason of his being steadfast from the lure of temptation. (Gen. 39:10)

God was very much pleased to His most filial son Joseph, that’s why, God was with him, made him authority over dreams, and eventually, made him second in command to Pharaoh; and gave him his whole family to duel with him in the rich land of Egypt.

Then the nation of Egypt was wonderfully blessed to the point of transforming Egypt into a superior nation in the south, and in the whole world during her time.

They became the center of trade, excelled in all diverse aspects. “One of the most glamorous and romantic names in all history is that of ‘Egypt.’ No piece of real-state on earth is invested with more excitement, mystery, or magic. Land of the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Nile; home of the arts from distant antiquity; unequalled in luxury and magnificence – Egypt has continued throughout the ages as a realm of deathless wonder. But the foundation of her ancient greatness was not her military might – it was the inexhaustible wealth of her soil, ‘The Gift of the Nile,’ and The Granary of the World,’ Egypt became the symbol of limitless abundance and enviable prosperity. Fat-belled grain-ships carried Egyptian wheat and barley to all the nations of the Mediterranean sea-board. Papyrus reeds- raw materials of ancient paper – grew in abundance in the marshes of the Nile, and the ‘papyrus-scroll, an Egyptian invention, became one of its principal exports to the surrounding nations.”

It was during the time of Moses, when the magnificent legacy of Architectures, “The Pyramids of Egypt” was constructed; of course, through the hands of the enslaved Israelites, they were made.

The reason behind their economic power was because of the presence of God, through His people in the land. God blessed Egypt because “The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob-Israel was with them.

However, in the usual time of abundance, prosperity, riches, honor and power which both Egyptians and Israelites has experienced, man’s natural tendency to forget Him who is the giver, the source of all things, enslaved them. Israel was succumbed with the sweet affliction of pride and arrogance with the Egyptians, having lost their peculiar identity as God’s people.

So, the God of love allowed them to be afflicted with the bitter sting of deaths in the turned- cruel hands of the Egyptians. They were afflicted severely to the point of remembering God and cried for mercy. And surely, the God of mercy sent them Moses, the deliverer.

Well, my main point of emphasis here, is, ‘God’s presence through His entity that was responsible for the making of Egypt into a superior, powerful country in the history.

However, the ‘Exodus’ of Israel back to the land of Canaan has brought Egypt to ruins to the dust.
Not to mainly emphasize on the reasons of being accursed, due to afflicting Israel, direct blasphemy against God, and above all, the mortal sin of pride, were all the reasons of their unprecedented humiliation.

“With uncanny pre-vision, the Bible prophets foretold Egypt’s descent from majesty to mediocrity. Two major characteristics mark these prophecies: (1) Decline, to the point of virtual non-entity, yet(2) Survival- a stubborn clinging to the tattered remnants of national existence- even at radically-reduced status,” “Whereas Babylon and Assyria would be destroyed utterly and sink into oblivion, Egypt would persist as a nation, though in age-long humiliation and weakness.”(Jer.46:19; Ezek. 30:12,13)

“Once the luxurious and fabled home of the Pharaohs, modern Egypt has become a vast open-air museum; a dusty sweaty show-case for the whole world; a gazing-stock for the curious of all nations. No longer a world-power, or even a great power – its best-known industry is “Tourism,” and its chief claim to international recognition consists of its ponderous, time-worn tombs and monuments- mute relics of its long-departed glory!”

The history of the fate of ancient Egypt, from being a blessed nation to accursed one, is an unperceived truth of tendency that may happen to any arrogant nation in our days; or may have been undiscernibly repeating the phenomenon itself, time and on, in any segment of the history, and may be possibly repeat in our time.

I look forward to the next entry that would attempt to divulge, unpopular Biblical and Extra-Biblical analysis of the past, current and prophetic issues on political, economic and religious affairs.
